Meet the Teacher Behind Word Dash

Belinda is an experienced teacher and literacy specialist with more than 25 years in education, including teaching and education roles in New Zealand and internationally.

Her experience across different countries, education systems, and both primary and secondary classrooms has shaped her practical approach to literacy instruction.

She created Word Dash by The Write Lesson to give teachers simple, ready-to-use literacy activities that combine technology with the powerful learning benefits of writing by hand.

Belinda believes technology should support learning — not replace the important act of students putting pen or pencil to paper.
